Contingents of the Pakistan Army will be kept on standby all across Sindh province on the occasion of Yaum-e-Ali (A.S), according to the decision taken today,at an emergency meeting at the Chief Minister House.
Several high-ups including Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Corps Commander and DG Rangers attended the meeting.
Consensus was voiced to maintain unbreakable and potent liaisons among police and other law-enforcement agencies on the vital day.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said there were at least ten areas of the metropolis where the law-enforcers were being targeted, adding the personnel of the rangers and police will conduct joint targeted operations in these marked areas.
Meantime, the interior secretary, while briefing the participants of the meeting, said at least 16,000 police personnel will stand guard on the death anniversary of Hazrat Ali (A.S).
Earlier, the provincial government announced ban on pillion riding in Karachi and Sukkur for three days effective from the midnight between Thursday and Friday.
