LAHORE, Punjab: The Momina Iqbal case took a new turn after PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar claimed in a September 5 interview that the actor’s lawyer initially sought Rs200 million to settle their dispute.
Speaking in an interview with Hina Niazi, Chadhar alleged that the proposed amount was later reduced to Rs90 million, while Momina Iqbal’s side sought Rs110 million. He said he possessed evidence of the alleged negotiations. These claims have not been independently verified.
Chadhar also repeated her claims about her past relationship with Iqbal, saying she knew he was married and that she wanted to become his second wife. He further alleged that he later learned she had previously been married and divorced in 2018. Iqbal’s response to those specific claims was not included in the interview reports.

Iqbal had earlier accused Chadhar of online harassment, threats and cyberbullying. Chadhar has denied the allegations. The NCCIA has summoned him for September 11 and Iqbal for September 14, while the agency has said it would be premature to declare either party guilty or innocent before the fresh investigation concludes.
