Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said farmers selected under the Apna Khet Apna Rozgar scheme will receive Rs. 250,000 for five acres of land.
Speaking at a ceremony, Maryam Nawaz said the Punjab government would provide Rs. 50,000 per acre to support cultivation.
She said officials selected the beneficiaries through a merit-based draw. The provincial government will also provide technical support to help them cultivate the leased land.
Under the Apna Khet Apna Rozgar scheme, the Punjab government allocated five acres each to 30,000 farmers on a free 20-year lease.
Maryam Nawaz said she had directed the Punjab Agriculture Department to identify more land to increase the province’s agricultural output.
She said the scheme aims to empower farmers from Thar, Potohar, southern Punjab and central Punjab.

The chief minister congratulated successful applicants and said the provincial government would continue to support farmers under the program.
