Anmol Pinky case inquiry has led the Counter Terrorism Department to recommend dismissal of Constable Ali Qureshi and Assistant Sub-Inspector Kafeel Awan over alleged contacts with her.
CTD officials submitted their findings of the inquiry to senior authorities and recommended disciplinary action, including removal from service, according to police sources.
Anmol, also known as Pinky, was arrested in May from her Garden apartment during a joint raid by police and a civilian intelligence agency. The raid was linked to cases involving narcotics possession and an unlicensed weapon.
Investigators examined the officers’ mobile phone records and conducted forensic analyses of their devices. Details of their bank accounts were also reviewed as part of the inquiry.
