QUETTA, Balochistan: A threat alert was issued by the Balochistan Home Department over a possible suicide attack on the Session Court and other judicial facilities. The alert was circulated to courts, judges and members of the legal community.
Authorities directed all concerned officials to adopt extraordinary security precautions in view of the possible threat.
A senior lawyer said the advisory warned of a possible attack on judicial installations and urged heightened vigilance. Lawyers familiar with the alert said it identified an alleged suicide bomber as “Horan.”

The advisory claimed the suspect was linked to the Majeed Brigade, described in the report as the suicide wing of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army.
The alert said the suspect had allegedly reached Quetta with accomplices and was believed to be in the Sariab area. The advisory said the Session Court or other court premises could be targeted.
