GILGIT: GB re-polling order was issued for Loshi Thak polling station in GBA-15 Diamer-I by the Supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The court directed the Election Commission of Pakistan to conduct fresh polling after accepting an appeal filed by a Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl candidate.
The appellant, Wali ur Rehman, challenged the provisional result in the constituency.
The report said the provisional Form-47 result had shown independent candidate Muhammad Dilpazir ahead with 5,145 votes against Rehman’s 4,169.
The latest order followed another ruling by the same court for re-polling at eight polling stations in GBA-17 Darel.

That petition was filed by JUI-F candidate Rehmat Khaliq after a dispute over the Election Commission’s move to issue Form-49 on available results.
The GBA-17 petitioner had sought re-polling at 11 polling stations. The court’s directives are expected to be implemented by the Gilgit-Baltistan Election Commission.
The commission is expected to announce the fresh polling schedule for the affected polling stations.
