At least three miscreants have been arrested after they opened fire at the Elite Force personnel standing guard at a security picket outside Benazir International Airport Islamabad early morning today.
According to police sources, personnel positioned outside the airport stopped a suspected vehicle for security check. But, the miscreants in the vehicle opened gunfire at the police.
The Elite Force chased the suspects that were on board a white color Mehran car. All three miscreants were arrested in injured state in the wake of an exchange of gunfire at Shaheen Chowk.
Police commenced interrogations after shifting them to an undisclosed location.
