The United Kingdom has categorized 24 countries as highly dangerous for travel, warning its citizens to avoid these destinations.
The travel advisory, issued by the UK Foreign Office, stems from various threats, including natural disasters, severe weather, diseases, terrorism, war, crime, and other safety risks.
Countries identified as posing significant risks include Palestine, Israel, Belarus, Lebanon, Sudan, Iran, Ukraine, and Russia. The UK government is making this list part of a broader effort to protect its nationals travelling overseas.
Other nations previously recognized as hazardous include Yemen, Venezuela, Syria, South Sudan, Somaliland, Somalia, North Korea, Niger, Mali, Libya, Iraq, Haiti, Chad, the Central African Republic, Burkina Faso, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
The Foreign Office advises UK citizens to consider travel to these areas only when necessary. It recommends that travellers take comprehensive safety measures and inform authorities of their travel plans.
