Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan earlier today signed into law the Sindh Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2014, transferring powers of delimitation to Election Commission of Pakistan.
The bill was unanimously passed by the Sindh Assembly on Monday in the light of Supreme Court orders.
The new amended law authorizes ECP to carry out delimitation of union councils in municipal committees, town committees and corporations.
