Media commentator Scott Jennings defended White House aide Natalie Harp on August 18 after Senator Jon Ossoff mentioned her during a campaign rally in Atlanta, Georgia.
Ossoff said President Donald Trump preferred building a ballroom and travelling with Harp aboard a Qatari-supplied aircraft to performing presidential duties. He made the remark during an August 16 reelection speech.
Jennings called the comment “vile” on “The Scott Jennings Show” and described Ossoff as a “garbage human.” He argued that the Georgia Democrat had unfairly questioned Harp’s professional standing.
Jennings interpreted Ossoff’s words as suggesting that Harp could not have earned Trump’s trust on merit. Ossoff did not explicitly make that allegation in the quoted passage.
The CNN commentator criticised Ossoff again after the senator told Jen Psaki that aides such as Harp acted as Trump’s “security blanket.” Jennings characterised the explanation as damage control.

Newsmax host Greg Kelly separately defended Harp as renewed scrutiny focused on her account of receiving cancer treatment. At the 2020 Republican National Convention, Harp credited Trump’s Right to Try Act with helping her obtain treatment.
Harp has also described receiving an FDA-approved immunotherapy drug for an unapproved use. The Food and Drug Administration says Right to Try applies to investigational medicines that have not received approval for any use.

Public information therefore does not establish that the federal law enabled Harp’s treatment. Kelly dismissed questions about the account during his Newsmax segment.
Harp, 35, serves as Trump’s executive assistant and frequently accompanies the president at public events.
