JACOBABAD, Sindh: A Jacobabad railway explosion damaged about two feet of track and forced authorities to stop the Quetta-bound Jaffar Express on Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent of Police Faizan Ali said an explosive device detonated late at night near the Seem Shakh waterlogging canal.
The Jaffar Express, travelling from Rawalpindi to Quetta, was held at Jacobabad railway station after the damage was detected.
Police reached the site in the morning and began collecting evidence. A Bomb Disposal Squad also arrived to examine the blast area.

Pakistan Railways staff began repair work on the damaged section amid heavy police deployment. Faizan Ali said the train would be allowed to continue towards Balochistan after the track was restored and cleared for movement
