Saim Ayub struck a dynamic century, leading Pakistan’s men’s ODI team to a decisive 10-wicket victory over Zimbabwe at Queens Sports Club on Tuesday, levelling the three-match one-day international series.
After Zimbabwe, choosing to bat first upon winning the toss, was dismissed for 145 in 32.3 overs, Pakistan quickly chased down the modest target of 148 in just 18.2 overs.
Spinner Abrar Ahmed and Salman Ali Agha significantly contributed to Zimbabwe’s collapse, taking 4-33 and 3-26, respectively. Saim Ayub then dominated the home team’s bowling, securing his first ODI century in 53 balls with an aggressive 113 not out.

While six Zimbabwean batters reached double figures, with Dion Myers scoring a high of 33, they failed to capitalize on their starts.
Abdullah Shafique, Ayub’s opening partner, played a supportive role, adding an unbeaten 32 to the scoreboard.

This robust performance starkly contrasted Pakistan’s earlier, subdued effort in Sunday’s opener, where they lost by 80 runs via the DLS method after rain halted play.
The series concludes with the third ODI on Thursday in Bulawayo, followed by a three-match Twenty20 series between the two nations.
