The Rolling Stones have achieved a remarkable milestone in the live music industry by surpassing Taylor Swift’s single-night earnings, marking a significant achievement in their illustrious career.

According to Pollstar’s “Voice of Live” year-end review, the band’s Hackney Diamonds Tour grossed an astonishing 10,345,659 pounds per night, making them the highest-earning act of 2024 per concert.

Comprising legendary members Sir Mick Jagger (81), Keith Richards (80), and Ronnie Wood (77), the Rolling Stones continue to captivate massive audiences. Their enduring appeal, highlighted during their 18-show tour, underscores the band’s lasting impact on rock music, drawing large crowds six decades after their debut.

Rolling Stones Record-Setting Tour Performance

The Stones’ recent tour set records for ticket demand and outperformed Taylor Swift’s historic Eras Tour in nightly revenue. While Swift’s tour was the first to exceed one billion dollars in total earnings, the Rolling Stones edged out her per-night earnings by approximately 100,000 pounds, amassing 235 million pounds from their tour.

Despite Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour grossing a global total of 1.74 billion pounds—more than double Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour—the Rolling Stones boasted higher earnings per concert. The band’s ticket prices averaged 250 pounds, compared to Swift’s 180 pounds, consistently generating more revenue per show.

Taylor Swift’s tour demand surged by 196 percent over the second-most popular act, highlighting her unparalleled popularity. However, the Rolling Stones’ impressive earnings reflect their iconic status and ability to draw large crowds. In contrast, other leading acts like Coldplay, which ranked third, earned significantly less, at 6,186,482 pounds per concert.

In addition to her significant tour earnings, Taylor Swift is renowned for her generosity, having distributed over 197 million dollars in bonuses to her tour staff, which includes everyone from truck drivers to caterers and security personnel.
