PARIS: Muhammad Zubair won the Esports World Cup 2026 Tekken 8 title after sweeping South Korea’s Yoon “LowHigh” Sun-woong 5-0 in Saturday’s grand final.
The Pakistani player controlled the August 8 final with Dragunov against LowHigh’s Bryan at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. He collected the tournament’s $250,000 first-place prize.
Zubair also received the $50,000 Jafonso Award for winning the championship after entering through the Last Chance Qualifier. His combined earnings reached $300,000, according to GamesBeat.
The All Gamers representative defeated fellow Pakistani Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique 5-4 in the semifinals. He had already beaten the eight-time Evo champion 3-0 during the tournament’s second group phase.
Zubair overcame Raef 5-3 in the quarterfinals after progressing through two group stages. His championship run followed an LCQ victory over a field of 444 players, according to the tournament’s Start.gg results.
LowHigh earned $130,000 and 750 club points for Kiwoom DRX. Australian player Benjamin “Yagami” Torngdee beat Arslan Ash 5-2 for third place, securing $70,000.

Zubair received 1,000 club points for All Gamers and qualified directly for the Tekken World Tour 2026 Finals. The four-day EWC tournament featured 32 players and a $1 million prize pool.
