Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 18 lineup later in 2026 with higher prices and A20 chips. The new phones will have 12GB RAM across models and major iPhone 18 Pro camera upgrades.
The lineup is expected to include the iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Apple may also launch or announce a foldable iPhone, possibly called the iPhone Fold or iPhone Fold Ultra.
Apple has not released official images or pricing for the iPhone 18. However, the company is expected to keep its usual September launch window. New Apple Chief Executive Officer John Ternus is likely to introduce the phones.
The expected price rise is linked to a RAM shortage driven by demand for artificial intelligence. Outgoing Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook told the Wall Street Journal that price increases were “unavoidable.”
The Journal cited an analysis showing iPhone 18 Pro memory-chip components could cost Apple $150 more than those in the iPhone 17 Pro. Furthermore, the source content indicated that the iPhone 18 Pro could cost an estimated $1,299.
Display sizes are expected to remain close to last year’s models, with 6.3-inch screens for the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18 Pro. In addition, a 6.9-inch display is coming to the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Leaks also point to brighter screens and a smaller Dynamic Island.

The base iPhone 18 may move from 8GB to 12GB RAM, matching the Pro models. Apple is also expected to use A20 and A20 Pro chips, a C2 modem, possible 5G satellite support and an N2 chip for WiFi.
For the iPhone 18 Pro, reports point to a battery above 5,000mAh, a redesigned back glass and a variable-aperture camera. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said the Pro model could bring some of the biggest camera hardware upgrades in iPhone history.
Apple is also expected to ship iOS 27 with a revamped AI-powered Siri. Siri will understand the on-screen context and use Gemini. Meanwhile, Apple executive Craig Federighi said Siri would focus on helping users complete tasks.
