Punjab Eid Milad security for 2 Rabi-ul-Awwal will match Muharram-level measures for processions and gatherings on August 26, the Punjab Home Department said.
Police will guard all approved processions, Milad gatherings and Quran recitation events. Also, the Home Department has placed all key departments on high alert.
Officials will install walk-through gates and metal detectors at major venues. Police will seal nearby streets along procession routes.
Female police officers will protect women at large gatherings. Meanwhile, police teams will increase patrols along all approved routes.
The Home Department also ordered action against the use of illegal loudspeakers, wall chalking and provocative speeches. The police will act against aerial firing and the public display of weapons.

Authorities will close markets and shops along procession routes after security checks. They will also remove construction waste near gathering sites.
Police will map all procession routes before the events. In addition, security teams will watch sensitive points and mark emergency exits in advance.
Station House Officers will obtain written security certificates from organisers. The certificates must confirm that organisers have completed the required safety steps.
In Lahore, officials said 71 major processions are planned. About 7,000 Lahore Police officers and 3,000 Civil Defence volunteers will perform security duties.
Separately, Rawalpindi officials reviewed traffic plans, sanitation, street lighting and Rescue 1122 arrangements for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal processions.
