KHARAN, Balochistan: Security forces killed seven terrorists during a Kharan operation in the Lajay area under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3, Radio Pakistan reported on Sunday.

The forces launched the intelligence-based operation after receiving information about militants in the area. The source said several others were wounded.

Security personnel recovered modern weapons, ammunition, military equipment, two vehicles and a motorcycle from the hideouts. They also destroyed the hideouts during the operation.

According to the security sources, the militants had links to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which the state also refers to as Fitna al-Khawarij.
