Punjab Information Technology Board has opened candidate registrations for the second cohort of the Chief Minister IT Internship Program, expanding opportunities for young graduates seeking industry experience in Punjab’s growing digital sector.
The programme aims to strengthen the province’s IT industry by connecting skilled graduates with leading technology companies and preparing a more job-ready workforce. Through structured internships, PITB plans to help participants move from academic learning into practical professional roles.
Eligible candidates can now apply for hands-on internships designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry. Selected interns will work with leading IT firms, where they will gain on-site experience, sharpen their technical skills, and build stronger professional portfolios.
The internship will run for 5 months and offer a monthly stipend of PKR 50,000, providing graduates with both financial support and valuable workplace exposure.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for young people in the technology sector. He said the programme connects talented graduates with leading IT companies, improves employability, and supports the broader growth of Punjab’s digital economy.
To qualify, applicants must hold a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field completed within the last four years. Candidates must also have a valid CNIC and a Punjab domicile.
Authorities will release the stipend based on monthly performance and only after candidates submit an HEC-attested degree.
The second cohort of the CM IT Internship Program highlights Punjab’s continued push to equip graduates with industry-relevant skills while supporting the province’s expanding digital economy.
