Abdul Karim Khan, a prominent leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was detained from his residence a few days ago. After his initial disappearance, details have emerged regarding his legal status and the circumstances surrounding his arrest.

Two days after his apprehension, Khan was transferred to the Sarwar Road Police Station, indicating a move from mere detention to formal arrest. Authorities registered a case against him under section 96/23, signifying specific charges that were not publicly detailed.

Khan is slated to appear before an anti-terrorism court tomorrow morning, which suggests the serious nature of the allegations or the context of his arrest.

Khan’s forthcoming court appearance is critical, as it will likely clarify the charges against him and set the stage for his legal defence. The involvement of the anti-terrorism court also points to the gravity of the state’s accusations against Khan, potentially involving severe and sensitive charges.
