NEW DELHI, India: Iran and the United Arab Emirates agreed to “put the past aside” and focus on future cooperation, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Sunday.

Pezeshkian made the remarks after meeting Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in New Delhi.

“We agreed to put the past aside and look forward to the future, and how we can build a future together,” Pezeshkian said.

The Iranian president described the discussions with Sheikh Khaled as good talks but did not provide details on specific agreements, economic measures or security arrangements.
