TEHRAN, Iran: President Masoud Pezeshkian said Saturday that Iran “won’t surrender,” accusing the United States of targeting civilian infrastructure and depriving people of basic necessities.
“If Americans are warriors, let them face our valiant military forces,” Pezeshkian wrote on X. He questioned what he described as attacks on civilian infrastructure, food supplies and livelihoods.
Pezeshkian also accused Washington of restricting access to water, food and medicine. “Our people can’t be bullied into submission. Iran won’t surrender,” he wrote.
The Iranian president has repeatedly argued that U.S. military and economic pressure is intended to force the Iranian public into submission. He has also rejected what he describes as attacks on civilian infrastructure.

His comments came as tensions between Tehran and Washington remained high. Separately, U.S. President Donald Trump said Saturday that he believed Iran was “probably” responsible for an attack on Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline.

Trump also said the Houthis had contacted the United States and indicated they did not want to fight Washington.
