The Islamabad High Court issued its brief verdict regarding the increase in fees charged by private schools today morning.
According to details, the Islamabad High Court dismissed the government’s notification against the increase in fees charged by private schools and declared it as void. The Islamabad High Court termed the decision of private schools to increase their fees as correct.
The Private Schools Authority had issued a notification in which it had announced going back on the decision to increase fees. The private schools had challenged the government’s notification, which had been issued on September 23, 2015.
In September last year, parents of schoolchildren took to the streets in protest against the increase in fees by private schools. This prompted the government to spring into action and issue the notification against the fee hike.
Owners of private schools had earlier insisted that the government had no right to regulate the increase in fees charged by their institutes.
