Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ release date has moved forward again, with federal prison records now citing February 5, 2028 as his projected release date from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.
The new date is 15 days earlier than the previously listed projection of February 20, 2028. No official explanation for the latest adjustment has been disclosed yet.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) cautions that projected release dates can change as sentences are reviewed and recalculated, including adjustments connected to federal time credits. The agency advises users to check its inmate locator periodically for updated information.
Combs was sentenced in New York on October 3, 2025, to 50 months in federal prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution. He also received a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release.

A federal jury had acquitted Combs of the more serious racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking charges. He received credit for the time spent in custody following his September 2024 arrest.
The February 5 date remains a projection rather than a guaranteed release date because federal sentence calculations can change before an inmate leaves custody.
