The Grammy-winning singer released the Bey Keeper Collector’s Box on September 4, her 45th birthday and the 20th anniversary of her second studio album, “B’Day.” Additionally, the price of $948.01 references her September 4, 1981 birth date, according to Us Weekly.
Beyoncé’s official store describes the product as a limited-edition box inspired by traditional beekeeper crates. It is designed to house and display a Beyoncé vinyl collection. The listing explicitly states that the records are not included.
The handcrafted solid-pine box features a deep-green velvet interior, custom engraving, gold-tone hardware and a faux gator-finish carrying strap. Each of the 500 pieces is individually numbered.
The combination of the near-$1,000 price and empty interior prompted criticism and jokes from fans online after the September 4 launch, according to Page Six and Complex. However, other buyers defended it as a limited-edition collectable rather than a conventional record bundle.

The merchandise arrived alongside Beyoncé’s “B’Day (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition),” a 31-track anniversary release. It features remastered material, previously unreleased songs and new collaborations.
