The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast dust-thunderstorms, isolated heavy rain and hailstorms in several parts of the country from June 2 to 5.
The PMD said a westerly wave was likely to approach the upper parts of Pakistan on Tuesday, June 2. It said the system would bring rain and thunderstorms with occasional gaps.
Islamabad and several Punjab districts are expected to receive scattered dust-thunderstorm rain from June 2 to 5. The affected areas include Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rahim Yar Khan.
The PMD forecast rain, wind and thunderstorms in Azad Jammu and Kashmir from June 2 to 5. The affected areas include Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Bagh, Kotli, Bhimber and Mirpur.
Gilgit-Baltistan may receive rain, wind and thunderstorms from June 4 to 6. The forecast covers Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche and Shigar.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the PMD forecast scattered rain, wind and thunderstorms from June 2 to 5. Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Peshawar, Mardan, Abbottabad, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan are among the affected areas.
Dust-thunderstorm rain is also expected in northeastern Balochistan from June 2 to 4. Upper Sindh, including Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Khairpur and Dadu, may also receive dust-thunderstorm rain during the same period.
The PMD warned that windstorms, hailstorms and lightning may damage vulnerable structures, including solar panels, electric poles and billboards.
It also warned of possible landslides in vulnerable areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir from June 3 to 6.

The department advised farmers to manage their crops based on weather conditions. It urged tourists and travellers to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during the forecast period.
