“We are a nuclear power. Soon we will bring to an end, the menace of load-shedding,” said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif while addressing a gathering to mark ‘Youm-e-Takbeer’ in Lahore yesterday.
Pakistan is the first and only Muslim country to achieve the status of a nuclear power after conducting nuclear tests at Chaghai in Baluchistan on 28th May, 1998.
The prime minister said the politics of 80s’ and 90s’ will not work now. No one should indulge in politics on development projects, he added.
“What kind of atomic power it is where extremism, lawlessness, load-shedding is ruling all over,” asked the prime minister.
