The federal government cut the petrol price in Pakistan by Rs. 4 per litre to Rs. 377.78 from June 6, while keeping high-speed diesel unchanged at Rs. 380.78.
The Petroleum Division said in a Friday notification that the revised rates would apply for the next week. The new pricing period starts on June 6, 2026.
Petrol was previously priced at Rs. 381.78 per litre. The latest revision reduced the rate for motor spirit but left high-speed diesel unchanged.
The federal government raised kerosene oil by Rs. 8.70 per litre. The new kerosene price has been fixed at Rs. 280.70 per litre, compared with Rs. 272 earlier.
The government has reviewed petroleum prices weekly since the US-Israeli conflict with Iran began on February 28. The conflict also affected global fuel supplies following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Last week, the Petroleum Division cut petrol and high-speed diesel prices by Rs. 22 per litre each. The May 29 notification reduced petrol to Rs. 381.78 from Rs. 403.78 and high-speed diesel to Rs. 380.78 from Rs. 402.78.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority also reduced kerosene by Rs. 41.44 per litre on May 29, fixing it at Rs. 272 from Rs. 313.44.
Petrol is mainly used in small vehicles, rickshaws and motorcycles. High-speed diesel affects transport costs because trucks, buses, trains and farm machinery rely on it.
Reuters reported that Brent crude fell 1.2% to $93.84 a barrel on Friday, while US crude dropped 1.9% to $91.22.
