In the series-deciding third One Day International (ODI) at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo, the Pakistan team won the toss and opted to bat first against Zimbabwe on Thursday.
Each team has secured one win in the series so far.
During Tuesday’s match, Pakistani openers Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique propelled the Green Shirts to a 10-wicket victory, levelling the three-match series against Zimbabwe.
Historically, Pakistan and Zimbabwe have clashed 64 times in ODIs, with Pakistan winning 55 of those encounters. Zimbabwe has claimed six victories and two matches have been concluded without results.
Pakistan’s prowess also extends to bilateral series, with the team having won 19 out of 21 ODI series. Zimbabwe drew two series, one in 1994/95 and another in 2013.
The lineup for Pakistan remains unchanged, while Zimbabwe has made two changes to its team.
