Microsoft said it was investigating an Outlook outage on Monday after users in the UK and the US reported intermittent problems accessing the email service.
Metro.co.uk, citing Downdetector data, said Outlook went down shortly before 10 am on April 27, 2026.
Downdetector showed more than 800 user reports in the UK and more than 400 reports in the US. Login problems accounted for about 64% of the reported glitches.
Microsoft said on X that users may face intermittent issues while accessing Outlook. The company directed users to status.cloud.microsoft for the latest service status updates.
Early technical analysis indicated a potential disruption in how Microsoft servers communicate with third-party email clients, raising concerns about compatibility and service reliability across connected platforms.
