Nepra‘s electricity tariff reduction will give consumers net relief of Re0.80 per unit on June bills, after a Rs1.98 cut was partly offset by a Rs1.19 fuel charge adjustment.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority approved the Rs1.98 per unit reduction under the first-quarter adjustment for 2026. The regulator said the decision would provide consumers with relief of more than Rs67 billion.
The reduction will remain in effect for three billing cycles: June, July and August. Nepra said the adjustment will apply uniformly across the country, including K-Electric consumers in Karachi.
The notification said Lifeline consumers were not included in the revised tariff structure.
