Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has turned down a request by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Executive Committee Chairman Najam Sethi for a meeting.
According to a popular local news channel “Samaa Tv”, Najam Sethi had been trying to meet Prime Minister Sharif for four days and was in contact with officials of PM House. However, the prime minister politely declined Sethi’s request for the meeting with a note “I will call you whenever I have time,”
Najam Sethi wanted to brief the prime minister about the team’s poor performance in World Twenty2 and Asia Cup.
On the other hand, Chairman Shaharyar Khan has also made several attempts to meet PM Sharif for obstensibly the same reason.
