Google Gemini Live voice features are rolling out to Gmail, Docs and Keep this week, letting eligible users search email, draft documents and organise notes through spoken commands.
Google announced the rollout on September 3, 2026, following a preview of its Gemini Audio models for Workspace at Google I/O. The new tools use real-time conversational AI rather than conventional voice dictation.
Gmail Live lets users ask spoken questions about information stored in their inbox and refine searches through follow-up questions. Google says the beta feature supports English and is available on Android, iPhone and iPad for eligible Google AI subscribers.

Users can speak through ideas while Gemini structures and refines a document and, with permission, draws context from Gmail, Drive, Chat and the web. Google’s Workspace Experiments documentation describes Docs Live as a mobile feature.
Keep Live converts spoken thoughts into structured notes and lists, allowing users to capture and organize ideas without typing.

Gmail Live and Keep Live are rolling out to Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra subscribers, while Docs Live requires Google AI Pro or Ultra. Google said all three are also coming to eligible Workspace business customers, but did not announce a universal rollout date.
