Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is in “complete good health” and continues to actively manage the country’s affairs, a senior Iranian official confirmed on Friday.
Mohsen Qomi, deputy for international affairs at the Office of the Supreme Leader, dismissed rumours about Khamenei’s health as “rumours spread by hostile forces”.
Qomi stated that Khamenei remains fully involved in Iran’s decision-making despite reports that a U.S.-Israeli airstrike in February injured him.
Khamenei succeeded his father, Ali Khamenei, as Supreme Leader in March 2026 following his father’s death in the strike.
While Khamenei has not appeared publicly since taking office, he has issued several statements, including calls for resilience amid regional tensions.

Iranian officials had acknowledged the injuries last month but reaffirmed that Khamenei’s leadership remained intact.
The confirmation comes as speculation regarding his health continues to swirl, despite his ongoing political activity.
