Smog in Lahore continues to pose serious health risks, causing residents to suffer from respiratory problems, coughing, and eye irritation. Health experts are urging the public to wear glasses and masks to mitigate the harmful effects of the dangerously unhealthy air.
AQI levels above 151 are considered unhealthy, with ratings from 201 to 300 being more harmful and those over 300 classified as extremely hazardous. Despite efforts by the provincial government to reduce smog, Lahore recorded its worst air quality at an AQI of 1067 at 9:30 AM on the previous Saturday, according to Swiss air quality watchdog data.
