Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rain deaths rose to seven after strong winds, lightning, and rainfall hit parts of the province over 24 hours, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority said Sunday.
The PDMA said 33 people were injured in the incidents. The dead included two children, four men and one woman.
The authority said casualties were reported from Bannu, Shangla and Mansehra. It linked the deaths and injuries to wall and roof collapses caused by heavy rain and strong winds.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast more rain on Sunday at several locations in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. It said most other parts of Pakistan would remain hot and dry.

The PDMA advised tourists and travellers to take precautions. It also told the public to avoid rivers, streams and rain-fed areas during heavy rainfall.
The authority said people can contact its emergency helpline 1700 in case of an emergency.
