K-Electric urged Karachi customers to avoid unnecessary outdoor activity between 11am and 4 pm following the Provincial Disaster Management Authority’s heatwave alert.
The utility said the advisory covered “peak heat hours” as authorities warned residents to take remedial measures to reduce the impact of heatwave conditions.
K-Electric spokesperson Imran Rana said the company was ready to maintain a sustainable electricity supply as demand rises during extreme heat.

Rana said KE field teams were on alert to swiftly restore faults and that the company remained in contact with civic agencies.
KE said it was coordinating with suppliers to keep the power supply aligned with rising demand.
The company said it would suspend preventive maintenance shutdowns and pause economic load shedding as the Pakistan Meteorological Department indicated that apparent temperatures could exceed 45°C.
K-Electric advised customers to stay hydrated, wear breathable fabric and keep their heads covered and protected from direct sunlight during the hottest hours.
