The Civil Aviation Authority handed over four sealed K2 Airways offices at Karachi Airport to the Bureau of Air Safety Investigation as the K2 Airways crash probe moved into its records review phase.
Officials said investigators will examine the airline’s operational documents, aircraft maintenance logs, flight records, and related paperwork. An initial report based on records already taken into custody has been sent to the Ministry of Defence.
The CAA sealed the four offices after reports emerged late last night that a K2 Airways cargo aircraft had gone missing. The airline has five offices on the third floor of the Karachi Airport terminal building.

Officials said the fifth office, which handles human resources and administrative work, will remain with the airline for now. An 11-member Bureau of Air Safety Investigation team, led by Director Commodore Ahsan, has reached Karachi to conduct the probe.
ARY News reported that the Pakistan Navy and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency located the wreckage after a search operation of more than 12 hours. Officials said the wreckage was found about 53 nautical miles south of the Ormara coast.
Rescue teams continued operations in the area to collect further evidence and locate crew members. The Pakistan Navy and PMSA deployed naval and aerial assets for the search mission.
The K2 Airways cargo aircraft went missing while flying from Sharjah to Karachi. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the incident.
