Iran oil sanctions targeted companies, vessels and front networks accused of moving Iranian petroleum and petrochemical products, US officials said Thursday.
The US Department of State and the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control announced the measures in Washington.
Officials said the targets helped Tehran move energy revenue through shadow shipping networks.
The sanctions covered maritime firms, front companies, individuals and vessels linked to Iranian-origin oil and petrochemical trade, according to US notices.

Treasury said the networks support Iran’s military programs and regional allied groups. Washington has tied the measures to its wider “Economic Fury” pressure campaign.
The latest action follows earlier 2026 sanctions on Iranian financial and shipping networks. US officials said foreign entities that deal with blocked targets risk exposure to secondary sanctions.
