Tehran, Iran: Iran executions of Ramin Zaleh and Karim Maroufpour were carried out on Thursday after the Supreme Court upheld their sentences, judiciary-linked Mizan News reported.
Mizan said the two men faced accusations of membership in militant groups and armed action against the state. Tasnim News Agency also reported the executions.
Tasnim identified the charges as creating a group to disrupt national security and membership in a “terrorist” organisation. The state-linked outlet named Zaleh and Maroufpour as the two executed men.
Iran’s Supreme Court reviewed and upheld the death sentences before authorities carried them out. It did not provide further independent details about the trial record.
The executions come amid wider concern over Iran’s use of capital punishment in security-related cases. International rights groups have often raised questions about fair-trial standards and transparency in such proceedings.

The Iranian executions add to recent judicial actions reported by state-aligned outlets during a period of regional conflict and domestic security pressure.
