Gen. Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, recently visited Balochistan’s Awaran district, focusing on the area’s security and development efforts. His engagements included briefings on security and socio-economic initiatives, especially in agriculture.
In Awaran, Gen. Munir met with community leaders to ensure the army’s commitment to local security and prosperity. He also honoured fallen soldiers’ legacies, recognizing their contributions to national safety.
Highlighting agriculture’s significance, he assured farmers of support through resources like loans, seeds, and expertise, aligning with the Green Pakistan Initiative. Such efforts aim to boost local agricultural productivity and national development.
Additionally, Gen. Munir inaugurated Cadet College Awaran, advocating for educational advancement in Balochistan. He interacted with the college’s faculty and students, reflecting on the army’s role in fostering educational growth.
Stressing Balochistan’s importance, he affirmed the army’s dedication to the region’s peace and development, acknowledging the resilience of its people. The COAS’s visit, initiated by the Balochistan Corps Commander’s reception, underscores a commitment to bolstering Balochistan’s progress.
