Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited Air Headquarters in Islamabad earlier today and called on Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, according to a statement issued on the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) website.
The statement added that progress of the ongoing operation ‘Zarb-i-Azb’ was reviewed and matters of mutual interest were discussed in the meeting.
The Pakistan Army said last week it had launched a comprehensive operation against local and foreign militants in North Waziristan.
