Justine Wilson says Elon Musk referred to the mothers of his children as “breeders” in Alex Gibney’s documentary “Musk,” which is scheduled for release on October 16.
Wilson, Musk’s first wife, makes the allegation in the film and says he viewed the mothers as interchangeable. She was married to the Tesla and SpaceX executive from 2000 to 2008 and had six children with him.
Wilson also alleges that Musk described himself as the “alpha” in their marriage. She says her experience with him taught her the meaning of “gaslighting,” claiming he made her feel insignificant.

— E! News (@enews) September 9, 2026The documentary also addresses Musk’s relationship with his daughter Vivian. Wilson alleges that Musk cut off Vivian’s health insurance after she came out as transgender and has not tried to repair their relationship.

She also says Musk asked her to tell Vivian that he would always love her. Musk did not participate in the documentary and previously called it a “hit piece” on X.
His attorney, Alex Spiro, has threatened legal action and accused the filmmakers of approaching the project with a predetermined conclusion.
Jigsaw, the production company behind the film, defended Gibney’s work and cited the importance of fact-based scrutiny of public figures.
