Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA), Syed Khursheed Shah on Saturday announced that the federal government has agreed upon lowering the assembly term to four years.
According to details, Khursheed Shah told that the government has accepted the suggestion of reducing the assembly term.
Shah disclosed that the government agreed upon setting a period of four years for the assembly to govern the country, which is supposed to take place after the next general election in the country.
However, legislation regarding the four years tenure will be made by the sitting assembly.
