Lahore High Court on Tuesday reserved its decision over the maintainability of a petition seeking scrutiny of the election of the parliament members.
The petition says that an election commission report on the general elections says that those who not fulfilled the conditions in Article 62 and 63 of the constitution were also permitted to contest the elections.
The petitioner also claimed that scores of Returning Officers sent hand written results of the elections, which raised questions about the authenticity of the polls.
The petitioner asked the court to issue orders for scrutiny of the all members of the parliament.
The court reserved its decision over the maintainability of the petition after initial hearing of the petition.
