Los Angeles: Daveigh Chase’s cause of death was listed as acquired immunodeficiency syndrome by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, Yahoo Entertainment reported.
The former child actor, known for voicing Lilo in Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” and playing Samara in “The Ring,” died on June 16 at age 35.
Chronic polysubstance use was also listed as a significant condition in the medical examiner’s report.
John Ryan Jr., a representative for Chase, told Yahoo Entertainment that her death was “a huge loss” and said he had managed her for more than a decade.
TMZ first reported Chase’s death. Her boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, told TMZ she had battled meningitis and a blood infection before her death.

Chase began her screen career in a 1998 episode of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.” She later appeared in “CSI,” “Cold Case,” “Without a Trace”, and HBO’s “Big Love.”
Chase voiced Chihiro Ogino in the English dub of “Spirited Away” and won an Annie Award for voice acting in “Lilo & Stitch.”
Her later credits included “Jack Goes Home” and “American Romance,” both released in 2016.
