Supreme Court’s bench formulated for electoral reforms and thumb verification in 4 constituencies was dissolved after Justice Nasirul Mulk withdrew from the case today (Monday).
As the 3-member bench headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk commenced the case in the SC, Justice Nasirul Mulk said he was interim Chief Election Commissioner when the court had asked for response regarding general elections of 2013; he therefore should not be a part of the proceedings.
He said thumb verification in 4 constituencies is also a part of the same case. So, he cannot hear out the case after becoming the Chief Justice (CJ).
He further said new bench would conduct the hearing after November 10.
