Bonnie Tyler memorial services drew hundreds of fans and mourners to Swansea, Wales, on Monday for a public celebration of the Welsh singer’s life.
More than 1,000 people gathered outside Swansea Minster. Family, friends and invited guests attended inside, while others followed the livestream.
Tyler’s white coffin arrived covered with roses and lilies. Her songs “It’s a Heartache” and “If I Sing You A Love Song” played as pallbearers entered the church.
A male voice choir later performed “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” The service also featured Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
Long-time tour manager Matt Davis remembered Tyler as a performer who could command venues ranging from small clubs to major stadiums. Talent scout Roger Bell praised her connection to Swansea and her family.
