Pakistanis planning to visit Greece must secure a Schengen visa, granting free mobility within the Schengen Territory for stays of up to 90 days within 180 days.
To apply for a Schengen visa, individuals must submit essential documents, including a completed visa application form, a passport with at least two blank pages issued within the last ten years, a recent passport-sized photograph, and fingerprints, unless previously registered in the Visa Information System.
A critical requirement for every applicant is proof of sufficient funds to cover expenses during their stay. This involves submitting bank and credit card statements from the last three months. For a bank statement, the minimum daily requirement is €50, totalling approximately €1,500 or around Rs468,450 for a 30-day stay in Greece. This financial proof ensures applicants can support themselves without financial difficulties during their trip.
Additionally, travellers must secure travel medical insurance covering emergency medical care, hospitalization, and repatriation, with a minimum coverage of €30,000. The visa fee of €80 is payable in cash at the Consular Office of Greece in Islamabad on the appointment day.
This stringent documentation ensures that Pakistani travellers have the necessary resources and protection during their stay in Greece, enhancing the security and integrity of the Schengen visa system.
