Karachi, Sindh: A local court on Tuesday allowed accused Anmol alias Pinky to be produced at the Judicial Complex in multiple cases after police cited security risks at City Court Karachi.
The order came during proceedings on the day of her court appearance. The court directed authorities to present Anmol before the judicial magistrate at the Judicial Complex.
Investigating officers had approached the District and Sessions Judge South, seeking permission to produce her at the jail complex rather than at the City Court Karachi. Police said they needed her production to seek physical remand.
Anmol was arrested earlier this month from her Garden apartment in Karachi during a joint raid by police and a civilian intelligence agency. Officials linked the arrest to cases involving narcotics possession and an unlicensed weapon.

Local reports said courts had earlier granted police remand in a narcotics case as investigators examined several cases linked to the accused. The judicial magistrate granted the police a seven-day physical remand in one case, while 13 other cases were sent to judicial remand.
The case also triggered scrutiny of Sindh Police conduct after videos showed Anmol being escorted to court without handcuffs. The Inspector General of Sindh Police suspended three officers for alleged violations of Standard Operating Procedures and “VIP protocol.”
Police said cocaine, other drugs and weapons were recovered from Anmol’s possession, while the accused denied police claims and alleged illegal detention.
