Amna Arooj, implicated in the honey trap case involving prominent Pakistani dramatist Khalilur Rehman Qamar, has accused him of using videos to blackmail her.
The allegations surfaced during a hearing at the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), where Arooj claimed that Qamar pressured her into a relationship by promising a future in acting and modelling.
During the proceedings, the police sought an extension of Arooj’s physical remand to secure her mobile phone for further evidence. The court approved a four-day extension and scheduled her next appearance for July 30.

The hearing, overseen by Judicial Magistrate Nabeela Amir, probed Arooj’s involvement in the allegations against her. She denied any role in the kidnapping, asserting that her interaction with Qamar was limited to an invitation to discuss a potential drama project.
Additionally, Arooj admitted to withdrawing Rs287,000 using Qamar’s ATM card, which she claimed was managed by Hassan Shah, who allegedly retained the funds.
In earlier statements, Qamar recounted being abducted and robbed in Lahore after being lured to Arooj’s residence under the guise of professional discussions. He reported that upon arrival, he was kidnapped by armed assailants and later released after paying a hefty ransom. According to the FIR, the assailants stole Qamar’s mobile phone, watch, and cash and forcibly transferred Rs250,000 from his ATM card. The dramatist described being blindfolded and abandoned in a remote area.
